👋 My name is Juan, and I'm a front-end web developer specializing in WordPress. I'm passionate about design, open source, sustainability, and the open web. Since creating my first website in 1998, I helped companies of all sizes establish their online presence.
🚀 Now, as a WordPress Community Engagement Specialist at Weglot, I help organize events, boost brand awareness, and support volunteers through the WordPress Five for the Future initiative. Weglot also sponsors me for 12 hours a week so that I can contribute to the Community team.
🙋ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸ I've had the privilege of serving as a team lead at WordCamp Europe in 2022 and 2023, and as the lead organizer in WCEU 2024. I also co-organize meetups and WordCamps in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, and work as a Program Manager at the WordPress Global Community Team. One of my greatest passions is mentoring and involving new people in different projects and events, as I believe in the power of community growth.
